The Good, The Bad, and the...Well, No Ugly Here

Here are a couple videos I took of our new corgi puppy this morning:

The Good

Just walking around - he doesn't like going down curbs just yet, but his legs will get bigger and it will be easier for him to get down. I think it's so cute how he walks with those short little legs of his!

The Bad

Chewing his leash - he doesn't know what "No" means yet, but we're working on it. We're also thinking of putting something on the leash to keep him from chewing it. Someone told me earlier today to soak it in tobasco sauce (not sure about that one) or that there may be a spray you can put on it. Maybe the spray is the same stuff they use to keep kids from sucking their thumb or biting their nails?

Anywho, we may have the good and the bad, but there's no ugly here!

I've never posted before but I love your blogs! I read this one and SA religiously! :) My husband and I got a new puppy back in August and she also chewed on her leash but you can buy a spray called Bitter Apple at any pet supply store and spray it on the part he can reach. It might help! BTW, he is sooooo cute!

Hey Anonymous, you're right...I can't get mad...he's too cute! Yes, we've named him Bailey. :) Thanks for asking!

heehee...aren't his ears cute, Stephanie?

Thanks miss angel!

Thanks WendyB!

Hey Kim, thanks for reading my blogs and for taking the time to post about that apple spray. :) I'm going to have to look into that this weekend! What kind of puppy did you get? At least he must be potty-trained by now! I can't wait till we can let little Bailey run around the house! Thanks for the comment and the compliment!

We got an Australian Shepard/English Springer Spaniel mix from an animal shelter. She actually has the exact same colors as your Bailey and her ears stick up like that too! Her name is Derby and she is 5 months old. Pottytraining can be frustrating but it happens...eventually. She's pretty good now but she still has accidents. If you want I can email you some tips that we learned from our puppy obedience class.

Hey Kim, sounds like a beautiful dog, and that's awesome you rescued her! We wanted to rescue a dog, too, but we fell in love with Bailey at the pet store before we made it to the shelters.

That's so sweet of you to offer to share your tips - that would be wonderful! My email is shopaholicd at gmail dot com.

Thanks so much!
